I got the first imac 27" i7 when it was released got in Nov. I checked my computer today using TechTool Pro 5 and got a SMART Results Failed. Should i be worried. If yes can i change the drive myself without voiding warranty.

I don't think these programs are reading the smart info correctly

I have had 3 Imacs and they all read the same thing.

I did contact apple and they said i have to send it in repair. The reason that the SMART Check failed is because of overheat. I don't know if I will fix it and the problem will reoccur
