Bought iMac i9,Mojave 10.14.6 Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB, 500gb SSD for photography and video editing..
Now this is one strange problem: when using Capture one version 12&20(tested multi versions, tried disabling GPU support) I can hear clicking noise like hdd crashing.. this happens when I change exposure in RAW or just look throu bunch of jpeg or change style of photo... :S the sound is coming from left bottom side(PSU?). Tried disabling onboard speakers.. So is this failing some piece of hardware or what? in Photoshop when working on photo and moving levels slider(to darken or lighten photo) no such thing.. in photoshop raw can be heared but not that much...games video working good. On older iMac 2017 no such problems so it's not normal from mine point of view.. Did anybody else experience that problem and found fix or can this go for warranty?

I have the same problem and noticed it when I was working in FCPx (scrolling through footage or rendering).
Then I forgot about it for a while but yesterday evening Inwas working in FCPx again and nobody was around and heard the crackling noise again.
Hard to pinpoint exactly where it comes from but like like left button side.
Obviously not the HD because it’s an SSD. Also can’t find much about it online.

Hi, thx for reaching out :) are you maybe close to apple store?

You're welcome! :)

Well, it would take me 2 hours. So....
I'll see if I can upload a sound fragment of the noise.

This is so bad on 3500E mac :S.. it must be PSU.. tried in final cut pro x but cant hear a thing :S don't have regular apple store in Croatia..

update: yesterday when I have started transferring some large files from ssd to other hdd and went in c1 there was no noise no problem.. when transfer was complete it started again.. tested it and same thing.. so it could be ssd? Or when some usage is happening no clicking noise?? very strange.. need to record this..

I did a lot of research and did find people who have the same problem but nobody knows where it is coming from.
