Hi all,

I bought a new iMac a couple of weeks ago, it's my first alu one but I've had two of the white plastic ones before.

The sound from the internal speakers in my old iMacs is pretty acceptable for day to day usage (not playing music of course), but the new one sounds horrible... extremely tinny.

So is this just what they're all like these days? If not I guess it's got some issues:-/

Mine are okay--nothing special really. I have an older set of Cambridge Soundworks that sound great and just plug into the minijack on the back--that is the only way to get really good sound from the iMac.

yeah dont expect much out of them. Get yourself a good 2.1 speakers setup if you like listening to your tunes on it.
