    Hi All
    My Imac 2008 intel has started to develop a problem .The imac keeps asking me to shut down and restart. I tried to open Lightroom and a dark line descended down he screen and the restart message appeared. I have repaired disc permissions and done a hardware check but the problem still persists.

    Details of the error log are as follows ;

    First thing to do is determine whether it's a software or hardware problem.

    1) Is it just lightroom that has the problem? If so - try reinstalling it.

    2) Does it still do it in Safe Mode?

    If the answer to number 2 is yes, it's likely to be a hardware problem. Looking over the logs, a likely culprit is your bluetooth card. I'd also suggest running AHT to see if it flags anything up.

    It also happened when I had avast security installed . I removed this and it seemed to run ok up until now.

    I Have run the machine in safe mode and the problem did not happen
