Hey,

is there a way to get the CPU temperature on the late 2015 iMac? iStat, for example, is not able to show the CPU temp. Lots of other sensor readings are available (GPU, memory, SSD, ...) but not the CPU itself (i7 in my case). Is there a way to get the temperature? I also don't mind using the terminal.

Thanks!

iStat Menus shows all the temperature sensors.

Have you tested this? I have iStat Menus installed and it is only able to show GPU and General (not even SSD or Memory as the iStat Pro widget). General by the way does not refer to the CPU as it was 22°C while the my fan was at full speed.

This is the sensor readout from a 2014 imac.

and here's the istat preferences:

so either you need to do some configuring, or the author hasn't updated the program for the 2015 imac. There's no CPU proximity sensor?

The program will need to be updated to account for the sensors on the new machines.

For what it's worth, I'm not getting any sensors showing, either.

you'll probably need to contact the author then. I assume that it's an up to date version, and licensing isn't a sticking point?

Reinstalling fixed it. Maybe something went wrong with the first install (both times the latest version 5.11).
