Constantly getting warnings about virus and malware in I mac, but have not used Mackeeper to fix it. Do I need to sit or continue to avoid Mackeeper. Or for safety & security does it need to go in for repairs?

MacKeeper is essentially nothing more than scareware.

Websites you visit will falsely claim that something is wrong with your computer. They are hoping you'll believe them, and install the "fix" that they offer. The reality, is that if you install the fix, that is when you will need to become worried.

They want you to install software which will cause harm to your computer.

The best advice, don't go to websites that cause these "alerts" to appear.

They are not truly alerts. They are crafty pop-up ads that open in a new window to scare you into installing malicious software.

Avoiding porn and file sharing torrent type sites will generally stop you from seeing these false alarms.
