iMac making crackling sound

hi all. Got home last night to find my iMac making a bizarre crackling noise from around the centre at the back.

Anyone got any ideas what might cause it?

It would help if you told us how old the iMac is.

Might be...
- fan noise?
- hard drive noise?
- electrical arcing?

Fan going bad or loaded up with dust.

Sorry, it's only a few months old. Bought in August it's a specced up 5k.
