    Hi

I have been sufering with the issue mentioned in this thread :

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=846136&highlight=mdp+external+monitor

I am trying to connect my Samsung external display via a 3rd party MDP to DVI adapter > DVI cable to my Samsung monitors DVI input. I have searched for months for a solution to this isuue but have been round in circles (it seems that everyone else is also).

Is it possible to hook up a display other than an apple display using the MDP?
Do I require a single or dual link DVI link for this purpose?

I have considered that the 3rd party adapter could be causing the issue but I have read so many other posts of people having external monitor issues with the genuine apple connector too. Could anybody advise me if the genuine adapter could/would resolve these issues?

I have been hoping that each update that comes out fixes the issue, but no such luck.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

So your issue is that your mouse stutters when the monitor is turned off? Just don't turn off the monitor.
