iMac memory

Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading my 2011 21.5" iMac to a 2012 21.5" I have 32gb of memory in my 2011, is it compatible in the 2012? I know I need to open it up via the ifix tutorial.

This says you can, but honestly with the hassle of taking apart a 2012 21.5" imac to add memory, I think I would make sure to put the exact spec in there (vs having to open it twice if it turns out to be an issue.)
