Hello Community,

I'm amazed to see that to replace the logic board for my mid 2010 imac 27" would cost 1500$+ . There's no graphics card on the board or cpu.. so why's it so expensive ?
I want to replace it 500$ tops.

Thanks

Apple would much prefer you buy a new iMac. You can try eBay for parts. Apple doesn't sell their parts via retail.

I have apple care

I have apple care. I just broke the logic board myself opening the dam thing up ( which voids the warranty anyways)

ripped the female connector port from the board by accident.. Where led cable plugs in. Tried desperately to solder the thing back on, bought a new one.. epic failure on my part.. Highly doubt I could sneak it through apple care at this point!

anyone know how much the repair would cost?
thanks

any work around tips would be greatly appreciated!
