i have iMac mid 2014 and i wanna connect it to my LG TV for audio and video so that i can watch presentation on TV screen.

but whenever i connect the cable to mini display port (i think its mini display port because there is no thunder logo) on the iMac there is a reaction when you connect but on the LG TV, no display, only No Signal, input source on my TV is already configured, HDMI1.

Where do you think guys might be the problem? cables are perfectly working on another Macbook for video, but there is no audio, hdmi cable also working on desktop computer.

Thanks

iMac

So your cable is a mini display port (same as thunderbolt) at the iMac end. What's at the other end of the cable?
Also do you have the right TV/AV input selected on your TV.

yes, i have mini display port cable attached to the hdmi and the hdmi is connected to the hdmi1 of the tv...the input selected on the tv is hdmi1.

i have tried your solution but same problem....

no DVI port on TV...

i also tried EZcast, it says could not connect to ezcast but my iPad is working fine with airplay on it.

this is what happen when I connect the mini display port cable
