rpmurray macrumors 68020 Feb 21, 2017 2,148 4,330 Back End of Beyond Sep 7, 2018 #3 You can get a motherboard off of eBay pretty inexpensively without the CPU, but they're not that much more with the CPU and you could even upgrade to 3.4 GHz for well under $200. It's the GPUs that cost an arm and a leg.
