Hi,

I have been using a WD Passport Studio external drive to backup my iMac through Time Machine, for two years.

The iMac suddenly stopped accepting the drive's password even though I have not changed it. Actually, I am absolutely sure of the password, as I can still unlock it through the WD Unlocker application.

But even after I unlock it with WD Unlocker, the Finder asks me to input the password again and it does not recognise it. I therefore cannot access my data. I deleted the password from the Key Chain, to no avail.

Would you have any suggestion for me to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Hi, I just found that the disk is totally full. Is this the reason why it does not recognise the password and I cannot mount it anymore?

If so, what can I do about it?
