I bought a 15 pack of Memorex Dual Layer disks, and when I try to burn them, Disk Utility says it was successful but I can't use the discs, and ImgBurn says:

Why does it do that? I've used other Memorex discs that have burnt fine; but Verbatim discs I have tried don't work either. Why?

Couple of options I can think of.

Try a different burning program, perhaps Toast Titanium.
Try a different brand of DL discs
Try both + and - DL discs.

Hope this limited bit of info helps some.

    I'll try Toast.
I've already tried Verbatim, those didn't work either. However, a 3 pack of Memorex I bought from Staples did.

Okay, I found something out. The Memorex discs that I burnt successfully (The 3 pack) are displayed as RITEK-D01-01, and the 15 pack that didn't work are RITEK-S04-66. So obviously RITEK-S04-66 doesn't work with the MATSHITA UJ-875. :(

Go to SysPref > Disc Burning and see what media formats that Matshita will burn. A Google search tells me it does support DL.

I've read elsewhere on other forums that Memorex has given other users problems. Fuji, Sony, TDK seem to be regular recommendations. I note that the 3-pack you mention is 2.4x speed writing, the others are 8x. Therein may be the answer.
