iMac or MacBook Pro

I need some advice please.

I’m looking to get either the Pro with the M4 Pro chip or an iMac.

I’ve already got a work laptop which I why I was going to lean towards the iMac.

Portability is not a massive thing for me. I’m a teacher so mostly I’ll be using it for creating lessons, but I’ve started doing a bit more video editing.

I’ve also got a Vision Pro which I’ll be using with it. So I didn’t know if the iMac with its separate keyboard would be better.

I want it to last a while so I don’t mind spending a bit more.

If you don't need portability buy a Mac Mini and a 27", 4K monitor. If you do any work with video you want a larger screen than an iMac or notebook.
