iMac performance question

I'm just wondering if there will be any noticable difference in speed between the new iMac 2.4Ghz and the macbook pro in my sig. a 2.16Ghz C2D? It will be replacing my G5 tower and I know that will be noticable, but I'm curious about the advantage over the macbook pro.

Well I would think it would depend on the kind of work you are doing. If you are doing processor intensive work, you would probably see a slight increase in speed, but normal day to day browsing and such, you probably wouldn't be able to notice a change.
