Hi everyone,

I have a 2008 iMac running 10.11 and sometimes it will just turn off. No warning, no indication that anything is wrong. It just shuts down. I've checked the obvious things like a loose power cable and I've actually moved since the problem started and the problem continues. The shut downs appear random. They sometimes happen under load, sometimes not. Sometimes the computer will be warm (not hot) sometimes it will just be idling. Seemingly random.

My question is, what logs can I look at in Console to try and troubleshoot this? I'm experienced with computers but lost as to where to start. Can I even buy a new power supply?

Thank you
