I’m starting to wonder if Apple can be trusted regarding the continuity of their products.

HomePod was supposed to be the future of ones home smarts and audio ... cancelled.

This was the iMac for Pro’s cancelled.

Is there anything fundamental, offering a reliable and consistent upgrade continuity, on Apple beyond the iPhone and to a minor degree the iPad? The iMac are in need of a revamped design for 6 years ... Mac Mini hasn’t change much ...

Considering the recent news even the M1 thing looks kind of blurry right now.

I hope soon enough they come up with something to re-establish some level of continuity ... even than for how long? I mean, if I leave the iPhone and iPad behind what’s left?

PS: All my personal computing and productivity devices are Apple’s (AirPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iMac 2020, HomePod). But believe me that if I Leave the iMac ... soon after it will be the iPhone. I already left the MBP and if the next iMac is not really a great improvement ...

Excited for the new iMac's ( in fun colors!) that cost around $3,000 to be twice as fast with MX chips when they come out this summer.

My company was planning on buying two imac Pros before the lockdowns happened. By the time things improved the new iMac was out and almost as good as the pro for our needs. So we saved a lot of money and I was able to get a crazy amount of ram instead. Just goes to show how bad of an investment a computer you cannot upgrade can be. If the price is right its much less a problem, but anyone who pays top dollar for a pro version from Apple is getting a system that will get less leaps in processor speed over time than their consumer grade products.

There were over fifty iMac Pros listed on Apple’s refurbished store earlier today but they are going fast.

I am really bummed about this. When those machines came out I immediately wanted one but couldn't justify the starting price (5500 EUR). Year ago I bought 2019 iMac for 3300 EUR after discount. Now, the basic iMac Pro config with 8-core Xeon costs 3500 EUR at local retailers (before discount). Really shame they didn't come up that price drop a year sooner, I would've bought it right away. Now I will never own it :(.

Good computer but very overpriced. When you spend that kind of dough, you usually want to be able to upgrade and keep churning that thing as long as you possibly can. The iMac is great but for pro's I would have a hard time investing in AIO desktop machine. I rather have a Mac Pro or an MBP if I need the portability.

It was a stop gap to fill the void for a few years between dustbin Mac Pro and current Mac Pro. If I remember correctly it was even presented as such...

“still working on the new Mac Pro, here’s an iMac Pro whilst you wait” was the message, maybe not in those exact words.

Im always curious about the guy who has the hot chick as his avatar. What does this guy look like?

and...I'm still trying to keep up my ol' 2010 iMac. No matter how fast I type I can't trip it up. :)

Nope, this will be WWDC event or later. iMac Pro has nothing to do with the spring event.

Come on there has got to be one last one somewhere, some how. Anyway, this is probably a sign of something special coming at the March/April event that’s way faster.
