I've been having problems with my iMac (Late 2009 model) recently.

A few months ago I remember I plugged in my guitar so I can record music via Garageband, and it worked perfectly. I changed the all the settings and I was good to go. Then, awhile later, I try again. This time without ease. I ignored it for awhile, until my headphone jack stopped working as well, and I can't seem to use that either.

Everything seems to be breaking on me, but my wi-fi doesn't work at all either, nor does my cd drive (though it takes most CDs, some will eject and I'll have to try putting them in a few times.) I'm really not sure what the problem seems to be, and was wondering if anyone knew what the heck is going on?

a) bad logic board (audio ports). Could be software. If you have another hard drive, try a clean OS install on it and see if it makes any difference.
b) bad airport card (wild guess since no details were given) Ditto on the software.
c) bad optical drive. Not likely to be software.
