iMac Purchase

I'm interested in purchasing an iMac but the "Buyer's Guide", the iMac based on historical data is due for an update pretty soon.

Should I wait for an update or should I go ahead and purchase the current iMac? I will mainly be using it for web, word processor, and iTunes.

I just bought an iMac myself. I couldn't see any reason to wait. I don't think the design will change much and a speed bump won't matter at all for your usage.

i have the current iMac and love it....even when they do update the iMacs i don't think it's going to be a big change...i've been waiting for the new macbook pros FOREVER so if you are going to wait i hope you're really patient.
