    Hello,
I want to upgrade my 2008 iMac 3.06GHz 24" Nvidia 8800 from 2GB of RAM up to 4GB of RAM.

I am thinking about purchasing TWO of these:

    http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0285258

They look great, all of the specs perfectly match up with the RAM I currently have, EXCEPT that this one says "PC-6400," and on Apples site is says I need "PC2-6400." Is there really a difference? I thought DDR RAM never went up to "6400" anyways, so maybe it's a typo? I did some research and so far I believe that PC-6400 and PC2-6400 are the same thing. However, before I purchase I want to make sure.

    Thanks,
    robbier

I was planning on doing that originally, however this would be much more convenient (I can pick it up in the store) and the price isnt too bad either, compared to something like CircuitCity or BestBuy. If I need to I will buy from crucial, however this looks like the exact same module I would get from them, except the "PC" vs "PC2" thing, which doesnt make sense since all of the specs are exactly the same.
