Hi there,

for a long time, I've always bought refurbs for the office and the model I've been looking for has invariably popped up within a few days. If you're looking for something kooky like a 16GB ram mac mini it might take a while but the main ones have always been available fairly frequently.

However, over the last month or so there have been virtually NO iMac refurbs on the UK/Ire Apple store. Has anyone else known scarceness to last? Is it a sign of a sneak refresh/price drop?

Am I just going to have to buy a full price one and get on with it?

I noticed similar. However a week or so ago there was about 6 or 7 27" iMacs of varying specs and a few less 21.5". They all went VERY quickly, like within a few days... Clearly people are snapping them up as soon as they are available so you have to be quick.

I'm holding out for info on the new one before I decide what to get, I'm hoping once news arrives there might be a further reduction on the older model...

Down Under Apple has abandoned iMac sales on the refurbished pages. Plenty of notebooks but no iMacs for two years. Seems resellers are grabbing them all.
