iMac Serial Number

My new 27" Quad i5 Imac will be delivered tomorrow.

Can someone tell me how to read the Serial Number. I did a search, but could not find this information.

open up system profiler and it'll be in the "hardware" section (opens up with this selected). I think it's the 3rd item from the bottom of the list.

Maybe I didn't ask the correct question. I see everyone comments on the build week, where it was built etc.

How do I get that info.

Simply select "About This Mac" from the menu. In the small window that appears, click on Version 10.6.4 (just above the Software Update... button) and then click that same spot again.

[Edit] Oh, you mean how to interpret the serial number.
