iMac with Yosemite 10.10.5 shows blurry responsive email created at the average 72dpi/650 pixels wide. It is blurry on desktop and also blurry when received as email. The only work around I've found is to create responsive email at 150dpi and force to 650 pixels wide in Dreamweaver for it to be clear on iMac in Yosemite. Blurred in both Safari and Chrome.

Which iMac do you have? And what is the screen resolution in settings set to?

    iMac: (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
    Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB

Screen resolution is set to default, but doesn't show actual dpi. See attached.

Blurriness is only happening on some responsive emails.

Are you using Apple Mail? And is it everything within that application or just some specific emails?

I don't use Apple mail. Blurriness is only on some responsive/push emails, not all of them. Blurry through both mail sources I use:Outlook 14.6.0 for Mac and also, Gmail via Google Chrome. I am thinking this has something to do with the iMac's Retina display.

Is it only pictures or text on pictures that there is a problem with? Or is it also regular text?

To me it sounds like what you are experiencing is just non-retina media shown on the retina display and therefore blown up which causes the blurryness.

Is the blurriness on the text who images.

I suspect the apps you're using are not optimized for retina and are scaling poorly. Try using Apple Mail and pull up some examples that you know are having issues.
