Hey guys... just bought an iMac and need some help on finding cables to connect the iMac to my HDTV.

I'm also knew to thunderbolt technology, so I'm not sure whether or not I'd have to invest in a thunderbolt cable from Apple in order to connect my iMac to my HDTV? Seems pretty pricey.

    Any help would be awesome.

You don't need a Thunderbolt cable for connecting a Mac to a TV, as Thunderbolt is meant for other devices, like HDDs and such.
You just need an MDP to HDMI adapter, as your TV probably has HDMI as input.
