I used chrome Remote Desktop to access my iMac earlier today, when I got home I noticed there are about 4 flickering lines at the top right.... what gives?? did chrome Remote Desktop ruin my iMac screen?! any ideas what's wrong or how to fix it?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
thanks

Horizontal lines? Vertical lines? Do the lines extend from edge to edge?
Do the lines disappear after a restart?

Picture?

Horizontal, about half the screen, lines still appear and flicker after shutdown and restart.

Maybe image retention. How long is it like this?

Since I've been back for like 30min-1hr at least... but I used the Remote Desktop like 4ish hours ago so potentially longer. It has gotten much less vibrant/noticeable since I first noticed it but its still there if I turn my brightness up

Try to wait for a little bit longer, I'd say. I had something similar happen to me before, it needed entire day to clear up.

If image retention, that should go away completely with power off for 24 to 48 hours.
I think the Remote Desktop thing is a red herring (probably just a coincidence) --- unless you had an image like that, in that area of the screen while using the remote desktop. Might be a plan to test that, when you have an opportunity to view the physical screen while remote desktop is in operation.
