Hey guys. Our iMac (mid-2010) is pretty much useless when our phones are syncing or restoring. Things lag, chrome won't load any web sites, etc. I've got 8gb of memory running El Capitan with over 4gb free. Anyone run into this? Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

Hardware Overview:

Model Name:iMac

Model Identifier:iMac11,2

Processor Name:Intel Core i3

Processor Speed:3.06 GHz

Number of Processors:1

Total Number of Cores:2

L2 Cache (per Core):256 KB

L3 Cache:4 MB

Memory:8 GB

Processor Interconnect Speed:5.86 GT/s

This should really be in the iMac section. That being said, have you ran Activity Monitor while you sync and see if you're running out of resources (RAM, CPU usage)?

As mentioned open activity monitor and see what's going on. I can't even tell mine iDevices are syncing or restoring on my iMac.
