Hi all

Have a problem with sleep mode on my mac.

In the past it worked perfect - my mac runs things like a media server etc on and when my mac was sleeping and i attempted to access these services i would hear my mac hard drive spin up and they worked as they should and my mac screen would stay off.

Now suddenly for no reason i can tell when my mac hard drives spin up the mac screen also turns its self on, I've no idea what could have caused this but it is particularly frustrating as the mac lives in my room so when housemates access things like the media server the screen will light up my room.

Ive checked over settings and i can't find anywhere which could cause this so hoping someone here may know.

Thanks

Marc

I feel your pain. It started with mavericks and I've read some people are experiencing the same thing.
Did you have this problem before mavericks?

My friend had a similar issue on his Mac Pro. Turned out to be an HP driver that kept waking up the machine.
