Introducing the all-new iMac with RetinaEdge. To create a true edge-to-edge experience, you have to do away with the edges, and that's exactly what the RetinaEdge does. With feature like touch to unlock, internal battery, and the revolutionary touch-enabled RetinaEdge, the new iMac is the most advanced desktop ever. more on the Behance link!

You edited it!!! You were asking for comments on your design project. Here are mine, anyway:

Interesting. Like the graphics and the layout. The text has some issues in terms of how its worded and some basic grammatical errors and typos. For example:

"There's nothing to compare this too"
"we but a small but powerful battery"
"so that it's read the moment the power goes" (ready)

And then there's the fact that several of the ideas could not actually be implemented.

But overall, I liked it.

Yeah, few errors here and there. And, I took it as a concept for a few years from now (except for the OS X Mavericks part!) Thanks for the input!:D

The Dual Xeons being powered by battery gave me a laugh.

Another thing, why did you use 680MX's in the 21" but 5770s and 5870s in the 27"? I know the Mac Pro uses the 5770 and 5870 but they are pretty old cards and the 680MX is better.

There absolutely, absolutely has to be a bezel on any display device. If you have a bright light source behind something, it can distort the edges of that object. So if that object is a bezel-less display, the distortion will show up on your actual image.

So, no matter how small it is, give me a bezel. It also keeps things "straight" from a visual perspective.

Nice work, though. :)

iMac with battery .. hmm .. for what exactly? Only a small fraction of people would ever do portable computing with an iMac. Not to mention that it's awkward.

Internal battery would make it much larger if the battery was going to be useful and it would mean more complexity for design, assembly and repair. And you specified a 3 hour battery that would be rather large for an iMac. And imagine having to carry an iMac in for a battery replacement and the cost of it? You're better off buying a small UPS.

And as for the edge to edge screen, that's not possible currently. The rolling off the sides would be a distraction. Not to mention the other difficulties of making a screen like that.

You have other technical issues in your text including losing power to a disk doesn't erase it, but could cause data corruption. And of course only 3 USB ports is not enough to never need an expansion. The first expansion I would have to get would be a Thunderbolt hub with USB ports.

No idea why people bother doing these, they are all horrible without exceptions.

For the low low price of 9999999999.99 or 99999 easy payments of 9999999 ;D

I do like the idea though, and a well done 'ad'.

Use the new Pro column for all desktops, with optional innards. Pair with thin, borderless, chinless Retina displays in different sizes.

An optional base bracket assembly would allow the screen to be attached to it, or removed. Any arrangement would be possible.

Cool, clean desktops. An economy of scale for easy production, in the US even.

Who would actually miss the current tired line-up of Minis, iMacs and Pros? The desktop market needs to be consolidated and sparked up.

As others have said, not sure if it can be done, but it would be fantastic. The bezel at the sides is the one thing that puts me off multi monitor setups. If the transition from one to the next is almost seamless, I might be converted.

I suggest you put back that it's a design project. Just to ensure that really tired ppl like me don't get tricked again. Especially when they are trying to decide to buy a new iMac or wait and then see this.:eek:

Almost got a heart attack due to the excitement... but then I reached the green forest part of the image and new it was fake.
