iMac with SSD and Software

We are thinking of upgrading from our 24" imac to a 27" with SSD. Few questions for you guys:


1. Is the SSD worth it?

2. Is the 2.9Ghz speed upgrade much of a difference

3. Is 8Gb ram enough ? My son is on photoshop and illustrator, but my wife and I use this for browsing and some applications.

4. Best way, if possible to transfer software from iMac to iMac? I do not have original discs.

2. Depends what your upgrading to and from. But buy the Quad if you can.

Yes, go with the SSD you will be extremely happily with it (have one in my 24). 8 gb of ram should be more than enough.
