just out of curiousity, i was wondering how much i would get in a private sale (craigslist) for my imac. Aluminum, perfect condition applecare, specs are in my signature thanks

Dunno...have you tried going onto your local craigslist and seeing what other people were getting for theirs?

You could contact these other people and ask them how much they sold theirs for.

Check Ebay.

The best way to find out if to look for a couple of similar machines for sale that are ending soon and watch how much they go for.

That will give you a pretty good idea of their fair market value.

I found a couple, but none of them have buy it nows and they all have reserves , most of them around 700 right now. Would it be fair to assum i could get 1100 for it, it has an unregistered protection plan

I forgot to mention that i want to sell to buy a macbook, after a few months with the imac i want to get the portablity of a laptop back
