iMac5,2 Max Ram Increase?

Hello. I have an iMac5,2 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo currently with 2 GB of RAM. I've herd before that it is possible to flash something to allow the iMac to accept 4 GB of RAM and use 3 GB. Does anyone know anything about this?
