Hello, this is so annoying. I was able to create a document on textEdit, drag an image (and copy and paste) to it, it displays the image. Now I try it again, textEdit only displays the path image to the image, not the image. I forgot what I did for it to work the last time. I don't recall I have changed any setting, can someone help? thanks.
 
Thank you for all the replies. You are all quite right. After I wrote this post, I just remember to check textEdit preferences
I originally set it to rtf. but for some odd reason, it changed to txt. I swear I did not knowingly change that. I don't know why the Mac will do that?
 
if u didn't accidently change it... maybe just a glitch; i've never seen textedit change to plain text. anyway, glad you got it sorted!
