Image/Picture viewer app

Could you recommend a free image/picture viewer app for Mac? In Windows you can just click on a.jpg in a folder and hit the right arrow to page thru all the pics in the folder. Is there a little app for Mac that does something similar?

You can also Highlight the photos you want to view and open them in Preview. It has a sidebar where you can scroll through the selected pictures.

How do I make Xee my default viewer?

Right click and "Get Info"- towards the bottom there's a dropdown menu where you can select which app you want to use to open the file. Click the "Change All" button to change all files to open with that app.
