iPhone 14/Plus Image retention after closing apps

I got an iPhone 14 on Tuesday and noticed when I close apps I can see some image retention on closing apps on my wallpaper for a few seconds. If I close the Music app I can see the music controls for example.

Is this a software issue? It only lasts for a few seconds.

The phone isn’t hot and the app doesn’t have to be open for more than a few seconds for it to happen.

No it’s at about 60% brightness when it happens.

It’s hard to see unless you have a springboard with no app icons and then close something like the Music app and you can see the music controls for a few seconds.

I got a new iPhone 14 and it doesn’t have this issue so the first one was definitely a defective display.

No I was in the return window so returned it and got another 14 which is perfect.
