My new 13" rMBP screen is fine. not a sign of image retention, no dead pixels, no dead bugs, no missing pieces, no broken keys, no software crashes, no squeaking cover..

Screen seems perfect to me - watched some video, and screen background change via astronomy picture of the day. all looks well.
p.s. I tend to be very picky about defects, and haven't found one yet.
I'd like reading the same from non-US residents. I suspect that all these returned refurb yellow displays will be exported worldwide until Apple get rid of all of them. Then, hopefully, worldwide consumers will start receiving Late-2013 (supposedly non-defective) screens.
My 15" Retina MacBook Pro 2.0 GHz is perfect in any way. No IR, No yellow screen and absolutely no backlight bleeding.
