I’m looking for opinions on an imaging software package for Mac OS. I know there are several out there but I’m relatively new to the Mac OS world . I currently use time machine but would like to also like to have a bootable full image burned to a CD on occation. I currently use Acronis True Image 10 for PCs and like it very much. It allows you to burn bootable images to CDs/DVDs and to external drives. It also allows you to do incremental backups to that image if needed. Is there a package out there for the Mac OS that is comparable to the functionality of True Image ?

Thanks

SuperDuper is one of the all time best utilities for making bootable disk images. I'm not sure about creating bootable CD's, but it will create a bootable external hard disk and make incremental updates to it. The free version doesn't allow incremental backups, but you get to try it and see if it works for you. Highly recommended.
