IMAP mail syncing problems

Is anyone having problems with Mail not syncing up all the messages in IMAP folders?

It took a lot of tyring to get it to properly show the 30000 or so messages in my archive folder. The last version of mail had no such problems.

Otherwise, minus dashboard being a bit touchy still, no problems.

I'm having big problems with Mail connecting via IMAP.

Not only do I get every single file listed in my home area, but I can't seem to get Mail to synchronise with the mail folders like it used to in <10.4

And then, all of a sudden, all the mails disappear from all of the folders including the INBOX (however if I use a webmail client through Safari or Camino I can see that the messages are still there)

Anybody know what the problem might be?

Well I left it on overnight doing 'something' and it seems to be a little bit better behaved this morning, although still very slow copying between IMAP folders - I guess this will be how it is until the first Tiger update in May?
