iMazing for Mac now supports iOS 12 and custom ringtones.

The latest version of iMazing (updated today) supports IOS 12, as well as giving one the ability to import custom ringtones, amongst other features.

Fully agree. I downloaded the latest update this afternoon. With iMazing I rarely if ever use iTunes for backing up both our iPhones.

Health data and passwords are backed up provided the backup option for encrypted is used.

I love iMazing. My daughter's iMessages ended up getting corrupted in such a way that it would immediately crash even after resetting all settings and restoring from an iTunes backup.

iMazing's awesome ability to selectively restore backups (no iMessages) saved her from having to set it up as a new device and manually put everything back in again just to get iMessages working.

The app is worth every penny. I can't recommend it highly enough.
