imei change in 2.0, possible?

Is faking the imei possible with 2.0?

It may be possible but I haven't seen any app that'll do it.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to? (I'm not being a jerk, just curious as to what you could do with a fake IMEI?)

It is used in my country to use an older phone of yours, taking the imei and putting it in so you can use it with local service as it's registered under country database
