I've searched on the forums and i couldn't find this specific issue. So this is the only issue I've ever had with iMessage, and honestly its not even all the time and its pretty rare. Sometimes it just decides its going to do it one day, and it does it ALL day. My fiance has an iPhone 4 on Verizon, i have a 4s with AT&T. Occasionally my phone gives out that 5 minute delay then sends all my messages as SMS. However its only with the Verizon phone. I've tried it with an AT&T iPhone user and the iMessage goes through immediately. The weird thing is that she's telling me she has 4 bars of 3G service on her phone. Now i will say that she is currently a long term sub in a school and i know schools typically get terrible reception inside, however its been awhile since this problem has surfaced and we usually have no problems using iMessage while she's at work. I would say it would be fine because I've heard people say that once the other person sends a message back they just talk in SMS instead of iMessage, however when she sends me a message back its an iMessage so my phone immediately switches to iMessage then i get that 5 minute delay again. Is there a way to get around this without turning iMessage off? or should i just suck it up when it happens?
