Earlier today i forgot my passcode and had to remote wipe through iCloud. Now I've tried setting up as new and restoring from iTunes backup, also reset network settings, signed in and out. No matter what i do, iMessage and FaceTime won't activate. it either stays on "waiting for activation" or "failed to activate".

Any ideas on what to do to fix this?

Why would you remote wipe?
You just plug in your phone to itunes and do a restore.
I'd either restore again or wait till it activates imessage on its own.
It might take a while.

i had to remote wipe it because i couldn't disable find my iPhone, I've restored it a few times and still nothing. i guess ill just have to wait

You turn off the iphone first.
Then you log in to icloud and disable find my iphone for that device.
Then you plug the phone to itunes and restore it.
If after a while still doesnt let you activate imessage I'd try giving Apple a call.
