iMessage battery life

anyone notices that when using imessage battery drop 2% every five mins?

It's definitely not the search usage that's killing the battery...

Yeah I am on wifi. But my 4s' battery is not bad average 5hrs usage and 20 hrs standby. When I iMessage battery dropping 2% every five minutes.
