So lets say you get a text today at 9:30am
and you have old text from that same person at say..... 2 days earlier at 8:30am


If you delete just the 9:30am text, this does not move the incoming display screen text to 8:30..

Does this make sense???? In the past if a message came in at and you deleted that part of the message it adjusted the time line of the incoming text.... Now it sits on top and and shows incoming text at the later time, but it would only show the earlier message....
 
Sounds like it's just going by the last interaction in that particular conversation, whether or not you actually have that interaction on your phone (due to you simply deciding to delete it)--so basically you might not have the latest message but the order and the timing of where the conversation appears still relates to there being an interaction at that time.
