Hey guys my iMessage effects will not work. The reduced motion is turned off. I reset all the settings and everything and it still will not work. Anyone know of a fix? It's running on iOS 10.0.2 thanks guys

iMessage effects won't work iPhone 7

This happened to NYC wife's phone. She didn't actively do anything and all the sudden it worked. Sorry I'm not much more help. She was really happy to have confetti lol.
Had problems with this too. The following helped for me:
Force quit the iMessage app (double click home button & swipe up)
Sign out of iMessage (Settings - Messages - Toggle iMessage off)
Hard reset the phone (Note that it's simultaneously hold the on/off button and volume down button for a 7/7+ until it shuts off)
Restart the phone, turn iMessages back on and try again.

Read the OP? Nah, too much work. The protocol for MRF is to read the thread title ONLY before replying. Under no circumstances should one read the OP or any previous replies.
Make sure you use the default keyboard too. I was using my Swype keyboard and I couldn't send the balloons, fireworks, etc within iMessage. Once I changed to the default keyboard, I was able to press and hold onto the send button and those options appeared.
As above, would be good if you could share what actually helped, as it might help others with the same problem.
