I've always used an Apple ID for iCloud and the App Store, and a different Apple ID for iMessages/Factetime. Since updating to iOS 11 it seems there is no way to manually input an apple ID in iMessage/Facetime settings and that it simple absorbs them from the iCloud settings. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm seeing the option to sign out of Apple ID in the Facetime settings but the sign out for messages has been moved to Messages > Send & Receive. I haven't tried to sign in with a different account, though.

Yes but when you go to sign back in, it doesn’t allow you to input anything details, it simply takes them from whatever you have signed into iCloud with.

Seems nuts that they would remove this...I use it for my little kids so that they can get facetime on an old ipad...now what?

The only way I can see to resolve it as it stands is to log out of iCloud. Then you are able to log in to iMessage and FaceTime with the Apple ID of your choice. Then log back into iCloud. Convoluted and concerning.

Have the same issue and haven't found a way round it yet. Had thought that the "Contactable at" section in Settings-Apple ID_Name, phone numbers, email might work but when I try to enter my other Apple ID here it tells me that the email address is invalid.
