I recently upgraded from an iphone 4s to an android phone. I can message my mom and brother who are on ios without any problems but when they message be, the phone recognizes my number as imessage and I never get the text. Any way to fix this? Its so frustrating... I tried deleting myself from their phone and filling in the info again and it still recognizes as imessage.

I think the issue is that you didn't log out of iMessage on your iPhone 4S. If you still have the phone fire it up, connect to wifi and then sign out of iMessage by going to settings and clicking on iMessage and then your apple id and then sign out.

If you don't have the phone anymore you should go to iTunes and sign into your apple id and go to manage devices on your account and remove the iPhone 4S and this should kill the iMessage connection.
