Resolved iMessage Mac not working

Hello

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong topic but this was the only suiting one I could find.

So, I got a Macbook Pro Retina bought in June 2013 (probably doesn't matter). Nos, iMessage did work until yesterday. I tried to remove my account from iMessage and remake it. When I tried to log in I got an error message that logging in failed. The error message says: "There was an error while registering on the server. Please try again later."

Anyone experienced this problem before and know how to fix it?

EDIT: The date on my mac was wrong...correcting this fixed the problem.
