I just got my first iPhone and I love it! I got the iPhone 6S+ and I am running 9.0.2 IOS.

One of the things that is bugging me is that in iMessage when I am having a chat with a friend in real time. When I receive their message, it does not update it in the chat window. It 'dings' and then if i hit back to messages, it shows the conversation is updated with the new message. If I go back into the conversation, it is there.

Is this a bug? I have never had an iPhone before, so I dont know if this is normal behaviour.

    Thanks,

    Tark

That's happened to me a couple of times. No big deal. If it's happening all the time you can try force closing the messages app to see if it helps.

No, of course not. Just press the home button 2 times quickly and you will activate the task switcher.

Just find the messages app and swipe the card up to close it and then go back into the messages app to reopen.

That did not seem to resolve the issue.
