iMessage not working after upgrading to iPhone X

    Did anyone experience this problem when upgrading to iPhone X? I can’t access the messages app. Every time I open it, it just force quits. It’s really frustrating. I called Apple last night and they recommended doing a reset of all content and settings and backing up from my last iCloud backup. It didn’t work. I’m starting to think it’s the phone now. I’ll probably have to go into Apple later. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

    No, and I haven’t seen anyone mention it either.

    I hope you get a fix today.

    What I would try is to set it up as a new phone first and try to open Messages. If it works, then it may be an issue with your backup. If it doesn't work, then you know it more than likely is the phone.

    This. Always do this first.

    You can also try signing out of all iCloud stuff in messages, quit the app and open it again. See what happens. Process of elimination from less intrusive to most.
